Hi Dad! The trip was fine, although there were a lot of stages -- Boston-Frankfurt, Frankfurt-Marseille, Marseille airport-Marseille train station-Marseille-La C. train station, then drive to my house... long day/two days. But I made it one piece.
I could bring on two 50lb bags, plus a backpack & violin as carry-on. I think it varies a bit depending on the airline.
